Challenge

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation faced challenges when workers and guests were visiting one of the most northern areas in all of Canada. These individuals that visit, don’t have access to services like running water and laundry.

Solution

Rockbox Structures collaborated closely with the client to design a four-season unit with washrooms, private showers, a laundry room, and a mechanical room. To enhance aesthetics, we installed rustic exterior wood, disguising the unit's shipping container origins.

Results

Built from a durable shipping container, this mobile unit is easily relocated by forklift, offering comfort anywhere. Designed to resemble a cozy wood cabin, it blends seamlessly into the Arctic landscape.
